"Daring" second floor pics and trusses!

We met with the mason today to go over our stone selections. They should begin laying the stone on Wednesday around the foundation. Once the house is completely wrapped in Tyvek, they will return to place the stone on the two front bay areas. It's really exciting!

The trusses arrived today in typical Matthews home-building style. The truck actually got stuck because the ground is so wet! The driver had to unhook and leave the trailer with the trusses on. Maybe we will get a break from the rain and get this roof up in the next few days!
More windows. These were the "special order" ones we had made. They are cathedral-like with vertical panes in the half-circle sections of the windows. Very cool!
This is what will be Noah's room. Laura was brave enough to go upstairs tonight. YIKES! She hates climbing ladders. But it was cool to see the new rooms upstairs!Looking down from what will be a balcony. Mama Matthews checking things out. (Oh, and yes, Laura did climb the ladder in the bottom left corner!)
Where our staircase will soon be.
