My dad and I did the landscaping yesterday. It looks fabulous and really makes the house look so much nicer on the outside. Thanks, Daddy for all your help and for the mulch! We are so appreciative!

- We have been dreaming of the idea of building a home since September 2000. Tim's parents live on 5 acres in Glen Allen. We are so blessed and thankful they gifted us with an acre to build a home on. We originally planned to build a garage with an apartment on the second floor and then build our home later. However, the plan was short-lived due to the many hoops we would have to jump through with county requirements. We decided to buy a home in the Glen Allen area 7 months before we got married. Now after obtaining successful careers as a lead signalman for CSX and a Registered Nurse, we are finally making that dream a reality. We have also added a new addition, our beautiful son, Noah Wayne. This journey has taken several twists and turns due to county flood plains, variance procedures, and various other issues the last few years. After 8 long months of sweat, elation, and tears we finally moved in on August 22, 2008. The house we have built will be the final place we'll call home. It has exceeded our expectations as the home we have always wanted. We hope for many wonderful memories here. Thanks to all for your support and encouragement throughout this journey!
